The stock of pharmaceutical company Pfizer is now listed on an Irish exchange after the pharmaceutical company raised $5 billion to fund research and development for an anti-inflammatory drug.
The stock of the pharmaceutical giant was listed on the Irish stock exchange on Friday.
The Pfizer fund was established to fund the development of Pfizer’s first-line anti-cancer drug, Abilify.
The company announced on Wednesday that it raised a further $3.6 billion to finance Abilize’s development, bringing its total funding to $9.9 billion.
Pfizer said in a statement that the Abilifies company is “now in the process of being completed”.
It has already been revealed that the company was one of the earliest to take up the fight against HIV/AIDS and its costs have been significantly reduced.
